Content rewards, explained properly

A brand puts money into a pool. Creators make content and get paid from that pool based on how many views they actually deliver. That is the whole model.

For creators

Four steps between your phone and your first payout

No pitching, no waiting on a brand to reply, no invoices. The rate is published upfront and the pool is already funded.

  1. Step 1

    Pick a campaign

Browse live campaigns and read the brief. Every one shows the pool size, the rate per 1,000 views and exactly what the brand wants.

  2. Step 2

    Post and submit the link

Make the content on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or Facebook, then paste the link into Maven. One post can qualify for one campaign.

  3. Step 3

    Get approved

We check the post against the brief. Approved clips start counting views towards your balance straight away.

  4. Step 4

    Withdraw in kwacha

Once you pass K50, cash out to MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, Zamtel Kwacha or your bank account.

A worked example

What one good clip is worth

A creator posts a clip
TikTok
The clip reaches
62,000 views
Campaign rate
K45 per 1,000
They earn
K2,790

No deductions. Maven never takes a percentage of creator earnings.

For brands

The same thing, from the business side

  1. 1Write the briefSay what you want made, which platforms count, and the rules creators must follow. This is what everyone works from.
  2. 2Fund the poolTransfer your budget. 80% becomes the reward pool creators draw from, 20% is the Maven fee. Nothing goes live until it clears.
  3. 3Creators postYour campaign appears in the marketplace. Any approved Maven creator can make content for it, immediately.
  4. 4We review every postOur team checks each submission against your brief and confirms the real view count before releasing a single kwacha.
  5. 5Pay only for viewsCreators are paid at your published rate per 1,000 views. Whatever the pool does not spend stays yours.
Questions

Everything creators and brands ask first

How much does it cost a creator to join?

Nothing. Creating an account, browsing campaigns and submitting content is free, and Maven does not take a percentage of what you earn. The rate you see on a campaign is the rate you are paid.

How does Maven make money then?

Businesses pay a 20% platform fee on top of the reward pool they fund. If a brand wants K16,000 to reach creators, they fund K20,000 and Maven keeps K4,000. That fee covers ZRA taxes, the review team, payment processing and running the platform. Campaigns run by Maven itself are not charged the fee.

When do I actually get paid?

View counts are checked when your submission is reviewed and again as the campaign runs. Approved earnings land in your Maven balance, and you can withdraw once you are above K50. Mobile money withdrawals are usually settled within 48 hours.

Do I need a big following?

No. Maven pays for views, not followers. A brand new account that lands one clip at 80,000 views earns more than an account with 100,000 followers that gets 4,000 views on a post.

What happens if my post is rejected?

You get a written reason. Most rejections are simple fixes: the brand tag is missing, the clip is too short, or the content does not match the brief. You can edit and resubmit while the campaign still has budget left.

Can I submit the same video to two campaigns?

No. Each post can only be claimed against one campaign, which keeps the pools fair. You can of course post different content for as many campaigns as you like.

What if a campaign runs out of budget?

Every pool is funded upfront and shown on the campaign card, so you always know what is left before you make anything. When the pool is exhausted the campaign closes to new submissions and already-approved work is still paid.

Which platforms count?

TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and X. Each campaign lists the platforms the brand wants, and only those are eligible for that campaign.
